Mia Sheridan presents the fans with a sensational book. More Than Words brings a contemporary novel with hints of historical romance filled with love, anguish, lyricism, musicality with a mature writting and full of references.
Jessie is a girl who feels the pain of her mother in her skin and plunges deep into the magic of Fairy Tales to be able to survive all the anguish that tries to take care of her heart. Passionate about the classics like The Three Musketeers and King Arthur, when she finds a lonely and sad boy, she introduces him to this world in which he accepts to participate. Dreamy, naive, pure and sweet, she transforms the life of the suffering Callen. Until the day he does not show up anymore.
Callen has a miserable existence thanks to a serious problem that he hides under seven keys, he ends up finding in music his escape valve but the world of entertainment also brings people who in no way help him overcome his inner demons, only making him more the famous bad boy silent, mysterious and closed. Until the day he meets the only one that has always touched his heart.
But Jessica, while continuing a romantic dreamer, realizes that Callen is no longer the same boy as before and knows that if she let him get too close to her heart, she will suffer a lot later.
What I found most interesting is how Mia Sheridan presented this two characters with serious family problems and how each one of them resolved to adopt a different worldview with totally different attitudes of one another: Callen does not hide that he is a problematic person and that he does not want to love while Jessica dreams of being loved.

Of course, with this title I remember the song from Extreme, More Than Words, and I put it to listen in some music app leaving free the next songs while reading but what was not my surprise when it plays Stargazing by Kygo and I felt that this one was really the music that would pack me on the journey of Jessie and Callen. The letter of Stargazing fits nicely into Jessie's idea of trying to help Callen realize that he can love and be loved, shows how hopeful she is even in the face of human cruelty. Wow! I can not even describe the feelings I had in reading this book and listening to this song.
Mia Sheridan was fantastic both in choosing the setting for the two encounters and in the way she presented the love statements that appear throughout the plot.

A message about opening our eyes and realizing how God responds to our appeals in a way that we least expect, but we need to be open-minded in order not to let the moment of Grace pass.

Jessie é uma garota sofrida que sente na pele a dor da mãe e mergulha fundo na magia do Faz-de – contas para conseguir sobreviver a todas as angústias que tentam tomar conta de seu coração. Apaixonada pelos clássicos como Os Três Mosqueteiros e O Rei Arthur, ao encontrar um garoto solitário e triste, ela apresenta a ele este mundo em que vive e ele aceita participar das fantasias que a doce garota cria. Sonhadora, ingênua, pura e meiga, ela transforma a vida do sofrido Callen. Até o dia em que ele não aparece mais.
Callen tem uma existência miserável graças a um problema sério que ele esconde sob sete chaves , ele acaba encontrando na música sua válvula de escape porem o mundo do entretenimento também traz pessoas que em nada o ajudam a vencer seus demônios interiores, só fazendo sua fama de bad boy calado, misterioso e fechado piorar Até o dia em que ele reencontra aquela que sempre tocou seu coração.
Porem Jéssica mesmo continuando uma romântica sonhadora, ela percebe que Callen não é mais o mesmo garoto de antes e sabe que se deixar que ele se aproxime demais de seu coração, sofrerá bastante depois.
O que mais achei interessante é como Mia Sheridan apresentou dois personagens com problemas familiares sérios e como cada um resolver adotar uma visão do mundo diferente com atitudes totalmente diferentes um do outro : Callen não esconde que é uma pessoa problemática e que não quer se apegar enquanto Jéssica sonha em ser amada.

Claro que com esse título não tive como não lembrar da música do Extreme ,More Than Words, e a coloquei para ouvir na Spotify deixando livre as músicas seguintes enquanto lia mas qual não foi minha surpresa quando ao tocar Stargazing de Kygo eu senti que esse que era realmente a música que me embalaria na jornada de Jessie e Callen. A letra de Stargazing se encaixa muito bem na ideia de Jessie de tentar ajudar Callen a perceber que pode amar e ser amado, mostra como ela é esperançosa mesmo diante da crueldade humana. Nossa! Não tenho nem como descrever os sentimentos que tive lendo este livro e ouvindo esta música.
Mia Sheridan foi fantástica tanto na escolha dos cenários para os encontros dos dois como na forma como apresentou as declarações de amor que surgem em toda a trama.
Lançando uma mensagem linda de superação, fé, entrega, segundas chances e o principal...
Uma mensagem sobre abrir os olhos e perceber como Deus responde aos nossos apelos de forma que menos esperamos, mas precisamos estar com o coração aberto para não deixar passar o momento da Graça.
