Cesca Shakespeare has hit an all time low. After her prize-winning play ended in disaster, writer’s block turned up, moved in and got a Netflix subscription. Six years later, she’s lost her dead-end job and is about to lose her apartment. Worse still, her sisters have no idea how far she’s fallen. So when her fairy Godfather offers her a free summer vacation in a beautiful Italian villa, she grudgingly agrees to try writing a new play. Depois que sua  premiada peça de teatro terminou em um verdadeiro desastre, ela ficou com bloqueio de escrita, se mudou e obteve uma assinatura da Netflix. Seis anos depois, ela perdeu seu emprego e está prestes a perder seu apartamento. Pior ainda, suas irmãs não tem a menor idéia de quão longe ela afundou. Então, quando seu padrinho oferece-lhe umas férias de verão gratuitas em uma linda villa italiana, ela concorda e toma coragem de tentar escrever uma nova peça. Isso é antes que ela descubra que a casa pertence ao homem que arruinou sua carreira, o lindo Sam Carlton.

Cesca está sem esperança que dias melhores apareçam em sua vida, depois de ser demitida de seu milésimo emprego, ela procura o tio, padrinho e confidente em busca de consolo. E ele como uma boa fada –madrinha consegue o emprego dos sonhos para a garota, tomar conta de uma villa isolada na Itália . Apesar de relutante ,ela aceita a proposta do tio e irá iniciar uma nova etapa de sua vida.

Quando vi essa situação na minha mente já pensava que tinha coisa boa vindo por ai. Afinal  que local melhor para a criatividade do que uma villa idílica na apaixonante Italia? E melhor, reencontrar um antigo desafeto e perceber que a linha entre o amor e o ódio é bem tênue?

Cesca fica enlouquecida quando vê Sam chegar no local onde ela estava refugiada e fica pior quando descobre que ele quer se refugiar bem nesse cantinho gostoso também. O encontro deles é explosivo ,mas Cesca  precisou entrar em um acordo com o inimigo para continuar tomando conta da villa e esse acordo vai acabar se mostrando muitoooooo vantagosos para ambos. O que gostei mais foi o fato dela saber usar os botões certos para puxar reações de Sam, o cara acaba comendo na mão dela sem nem perceber.

Eu já disse que amei essa garota?

A história é surpreendente e forte, cheia de momentos de drama, ironia e descobertas. Não só é revigorante para Cesca como é para Sam também os momentos vividos neste local, eles se redescobrem juntos e o ponto de conflito foi muito bem construído com um desfecho bem romântico.

Abrindo cada capítulo com um quote de uma peça de Shakespeare, Carrie Elks foi pouco a pouco  mostrando suas inspirações para a trama que fala sobre segundas chamas, resiliência e amor.

Amei muito ,foi dos melhores livros que li em 2017 e já estou ansiosa pelo livro das outras irmãs de Cesca e claro ,espero ver mais cenas deste casal mega fofo.

Cesca is hopeless that better days appear in her life, after being fired from her thousandth job, she looks for her uncle, godfather and confidante for consolation. And he's like a good fairy gets the dream job for the girl. She has to take care of a secluded villa in Italy. Although reluctant, she accepts the proposal of her uncle . She didin’t know but will start a new stage of her life.

When I pictured this situation in my mind I thought there will be good things coming around. After all, what better place for creativity than an idyllic villa in Italy? And, better, to find an old disaffection and realize that the line between love and hate is very tenuous?

OMG ! Great …just madly great

Cesca goes crazy when she sees Sam arrive at the place where she was refugee and gets worse when she discovers that he wants to take refuge in this nice little place too. Their encounter is explosive, but Cesca had to enter into an agreement with the enemy to continue taking care of this place and this agreement will end up being veryyyyyyy advantageous for both. What I liked the most was the fact that she knew exactly  how to use the right buttons to push Sam's buttons, the guy ends up eating in her hand without even realizing it. Have I Already said that I love this girl?

The story is surprising and strong, full of moments of drama, irony and discoveries. Not only is it invigorating for Cesca as it is for Sam too with all the moments they  lived in this place, they rediscover themselves together and the point of conflict was very well built with a very romantic ending.

Opening each chapter with a quote from a Shakespeare’s play, Carrie Elks gradually showed her inspirations for the plot that speaks of second flames, resilience, family and love.

I loved it a lot, it was one of the best books I read in 2017 and I'm already looking forward to Cesca's other sisters book and of course I hope to see more scenes of this mega cute couple.
